Glen Alan Chapman, 76 ofDecaturpassed away at4:06 p.m.January 1, 2012in St. Mary’s Hospital,Decatur.
A service to celebrate Glen’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday January 5, 2012, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt.Zion. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.until 8:00p.m.Wednesday evening, January 4, 2012at the funeral home. The family suggests casual attire for his services. Glen was bornApril 29, 1935inJasper County,ILthe son of Sy and Flossie Mae (Cramer) Chapman. He married Marilyn Stuart onMarch 20, 1970. She preceded him in death onFebruary 1, 2004. Glen worked for almost fifty years for ADM. Most of his working career was spent in maintenance and most recently was working in the Renovations Division of the company.
He was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed canning food.
Surviving are his children: Jean Brown and her husband Andrew of Decatur; Larry A. Chapman of South Carolina; and Rhonda Justice and her husband Donnie of Decatur; grandson: Clayton Stuart Chapman Justice of Decatur;
Special friends: Bob and Dora Dalluge ofDecatur; sister-in-law: Rita Chapman ofMt.Zion; also surviving are his two brothers and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and several siblings.

After all we been through together, we can say we made it just fine.
